The Whitewater River and Trout Run Creek, right in St. Charles’s backyard, are among the premier spring-fed trout waters in the state, holding brown, brook, and rainbow trout. The cold, clear waters of these spring-fed streams remain fishable year-round, but harvest season is the moment every fly rod comes out of the closet.
